Mercerization is a chemical-physical treatment used in the cotton textile industry. The thread is immersed in a solution of caustic soda and simultaneously placed in tension, to add shine and strength to the cotton fibres, as well as making it shrink-proof and absorbent; the end result is a much better quality fabric than that obtained from untreated cotton.
Equipped with two Jaiggle Meccanotessile Mercerizing machines for mercerizing of cotton yarn with merc control ECO Block.
